Meeting somewhere at the intersection of Before Sunrise and Weekend, this charming feature debut by Liam Calvert centers on two star-crossed but seemingly disparate men over the course of a single, chilly December night in London. With palpable onscreen chemistry, Alexander Lincoln (unforgettable as the lead in the gay rugby flick In from the Side, Frameline46) and Jack Brett Anderson (Wolfblood) ignite the screen as spoiled, loudmouth British entrepreneur Oliver and struggling German actor Lukas in this thoughtful meet (not so) cute.
Both out alone at the pub drowning their respective sorrows, Oliver and Lukas decide to spend the night out together after an initially awkward meeting, because, well, it’s not as if they had anything better to do. What follows is a revelatory evening of bar-hopping, deep discussions, and uncomfortable truths, as these two men not only get to know each other but come to a better understanding of themselves in the process.
