Set in Brasília in 1986, the story takes place in Brazil's capital during the early days of a brand-new democracy. A mother named Helena moves to the futuristic city with her family, but her husband soon leaves on a business trip. Abandoned and frustrated, she tries to make sense of her life, while her teen son rebels and her 7-year-old believes in luck and wonder. The film won top honors at the 27th Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival, taking home the award for Best Fiction Feature.
