This film will be playing as part of a double feature event on June 13th in which the Oscar-nominated writer-director Nicholas Meyer will be in person at the Vogue to discuss his work shaping two of the most iconic San Francisco movies of all time (Time After Time and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)
Nicholas Meyer has worked on some of the most celebrated and beloved films of the Star Trek series (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country). But he returned to the Bay Area when he co-wrote the Leonard Nimoy directed installment Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home; in which The crew of the USS Enterprise (the whole ensemble of the original Star Trek cast including William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, and Nichelle Nichols) must go from their distant utopia centuries from our own time to contemporary 1980’s San Francisco to bring back a long extinct creature whose the only key to solving a world ending problem in their own present.
